Recently, Stone Roofing Company had the privilege to collaborate with a beef distribution warehouse located in Brawley, California for their 160,000 Sq. Ft. packaging facility re-roofing project.

The single ply roof consists of white 60 mil PVC membrane mechanically attached to new coverboard and the roof’s existing insulation.

Stone Roofing has extensive experience in the food storage and warehousing industries, which led to the on time and trouble-free completion of the facility roof.

Because of the relilience and performance of PVC, this PVC membrane roof will continue to protect the distribution center and its contents effectively through its future.

Stone Roofing was thrilled to colloborate on this re-roofing project and happy to build a new partnership with this business.

Project Background

Golden West College is a community college founded in 1965 near the Southern California coast. The college’s mission is to provide students a path to transfer to a 4-year school, as well as provide affordable courses in licensed trades and skilled professions. Today, over 12,000 students enroll at Golden West College each year.

Stone Roofing Company was tasked with completing the installation of the 34,900 Sq. Ft. Golden West College’s Student Services roof. This new construction roofing project is located at the heart of the Huntington Beach campus with the purpose of satisfying all student needs, including admissions, financial aid, cultural programs, veteran resources, counseling, transfer programs, and more.

The roofing system installed is very common in the Southern California industry currently, consisting of 60 mil white PVC membrane over cover board and insulation. The reflective, white PVC helps deter incoming radiation from the hot sun, complimenting the insulation well and keeping energy costs down.

PVC roofing is very flame resistant, impact-resistant and resilient, making it an excellent choice for Single Ply new construction projects, and it’s a roofing system that Stone Roofing is very experienced with installing.

The Sheraton became the first hotel chain listed on the NYSE and is now considered one of the most famous hotel brands in the world.

Stone Roofing was thrilled to partner with and install the 60,000+ square foot roofing system for the Sheraton, San Gabriel new construction project. The single ply roofing system included a 60 mil reflective PVC membrane fully adhered over coverboard and tapered insulation. Given the insulation’s thermal resistance and the membrane’s reflective properties, this system is ideal for moderating the building’s temperature at affordable rates in addition to being simply watertight.
