The 528,000 square-foot student housing complex is located in the southern San Joaquin Valley, California State University, Bakersfield is a continuously growing comprehensive regional university that is committed to transforming the lives of its students and community.
Student Housing for a Thriving Campus
Situated on 7.5 acres of the CSU Bakersfield campus, the new student housing project is comprised of three four-story residential buildings accommodating 512 beds in 113 suites. The wood frame, Type V-A complex includes a center courtyard activities area, a commons building with laundry facilities, and a single-story support building for administration offices.
Enhanced Sustainability
Constructed to achieve U.S. Green Building Council’s LEED® Gold equivalency, this project features operable windows that maximize light and ventilation, energy-efficient light fixtures, and solar hot water panels that reduce energy costs.
