Project Background
Stone Roofing is proud to have worked at California State University Bakersfield on the new student housing project. The student housing complex is located in the southern San Joaquin Valley, CSU Bakersfield. This continuously growing comprehensive regional university is committed to transforming the lives of its students and community.
Situated on 7.5 acres of the CSU Bakersfield campus, the new student housing project is comprised of three four-story residential buildings accommodating 512 beds in 113 suites. The wood frame, Type V-A complex includes a center courtyard activities area, a commons building with laundry facilities, and a single-story support building for administration offices.
Constructed to achieve U.S. Green Building Council’s LEED® Gold equivalency, this project features operable windows that maximize lighting and ventilation, energy-efficient light fixtures, and solar hot water panels that reduce energy costs.
