Project Background
Henry Mayo Hospital is a nonprofit community hospital in the Santa Clarita and Valencia area. Founded in 1975, Henry Mayo Hospital has been serving patients 24/7 in their 357-bed facility. In addition to their emergency department, Henry Mayo has services such as physical therapy, diabetes prevention, spinal programs, and much more. As of 2019, the hospital has handled over 13,748 inpatients, 37,302 outpatients, 1,412 baby deliveries, and 68,151 emergency department visits.
Stone Roofing has over 80 years of commercial roofing experience, including many projects in the medical industry. Thus, it is no wonder why Stone was chosen to roof one of their new construction facilities. This particular PVC membrane chosen is actually 20% thicker than most single ply systems in California, providing increased durability and better protection against leaks. In addition, Stone also installed rigid insulation, which will save the hospital a significant amount in HVAC costs, as hospitals are typically cold to prevent the spread of germs. Overall, Stone Roofing takes pride in providing the detailed work necessary for Henry Mayo to operate smoothly.
