Project Background
Founded in June 1998, Southern California’s largest aquarium is a renowned non-profit organization located in Long Beach, CA. Spanning over 6 acres; it is home to more than 12,000 animals and boasts over 100 exhibits that educate and inspire visitors about marine life. Each year, approximately 1.7 million people explore the aquarium, making it one of the region’s top attractions for both education and entertainment.
Stone Roofing was entrusted with the task of revamping the roof of this iconic facility. Our team removed all previous roofing systems and installed a new single-ply roofing membrane, mechanically fastened over a new cover board and securely attached to the underlying metal deck. This new roofing system ensures long-lasting durability and protection, supporting the aquarium in its mission to inspire ocean conservation for years to come.
